Have you or a family member ever:

  • Been confused by health insurance?
  • Struggled to make sense of complicated coverage information?
  • Needed a particular health/insurance related service and couldn’t decide whom to call?
Every day people with Medicare, disabilities and Older Texans wrestle with the same problem. Many have trouble understanding or using their health benefits. Others don’t know they’re missing out on free programs that could help pay for their prescriptions.

Want to make a difference?

You can help your friends, neighbors, and community save money and get the services they need.  Make a real difference in people’s lives by volunteering with the Harris County Area Agency on Aging (AAA)/Care Connection Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC)! The AAA/ADRC provides free health insurance counseling for people with Medicare, disabilities, Older Texans, their families, and caregivers.

The AAA/ADRC is looking for dedicated and resourceful volunteers with all sorts of talents and skills. You can be part of a dynamic team, meet new people, and set your own schedule.
